Replacing a stop start battery is no different to changing any battery. You will need to do a bsi reset just like any Citroen or Peugeot just google 'bsi reset'. I was contemplating swapping my battery as the stop/start has stopped working. I have since charged the battery and all is OK now.Citroen Berlingo Multispace: Citroen Berlingo Diesel (1.6 HDi) Citroen Berlingo Diesel (1.6 HDi) 60 plate, 66k miles - starting problems A friend of mine with car mechanic background serviced my Berlingo a month ago, including changing the fuel filter.

Not difficult to tighten up on the Berlingo, just requires removing the air box. A good way to check the injectors is to get a piece of tube & hold it next to your ear. Then just hover it around the engine next to,the noise, it works like a stethoscope & makes it very easy to pinpoint the source of the noise or blow.
Following from lack of starting issues, im now trying to replace the starter motor. Have managed to remove the two from the back of the motor, but according to the manual, theres a third bolt. Anybody know how and where the thing is. Thanks. •I'd find a Citroen independent who has it and knows these engines if the electronic stuff is not your area of tinkering as the HDi is electronically complex. Sorry for the long post but this issue is widely known across all brands that use the HDi 1.6 engine and can be a long and dreary path to resolve.

The alternator on my m59 / 2007 with the 1.6 hdi is playing up. So I have to remove and replace it, -- it looks very tight there to work. Who has done it and can run the procedure by me? I would be very thankful. Is there a design reason why they start failing after 60 tsd miles?
It's not temperature, it's not glow plugs, has to be fuel. I now think it's draining back over time, the hp pump is able to pressurise some Injectors, but some are starved due to air pockets. Over time, it bleeds itself out. On a few occasions, it has started with no lumpyness at all but 8 out of 10 times, lump city.
