Tata has left Jaguar to it's own devices, but the change in ownership happened in 2008. A car design cycle is 4-6 years, and usually has a similar sales model cycle (typically longer for Jag). We're 10 years out. The F-Type arrived in 2013, 5 years out from the change of ownership.by jmoosec2. Looking for something loud and fast. I'm stuck in the in-between and can't afford a super AR. So after much research I've narrowed it down to these two very different but similar cars. I love the power of the hellcat and the beauty and sound of the f-type V8. However, every other day I wake up and have my decision made on one of them. As far as reliability, no major repairs needed since he got it, and certainly no rust issues. If you're stuck choosing between an '09 and '10, go with the '10 because that's the year they introduced the 5.0 liter engine

As such, they have the same oil pan, oil capacity and cooling system as the supercharged V8 (was done to save production cost). So the oiling and cooling system is over built for a 3.0L V6. The only weak point is the coupler on the Eaton Supercharger.

Its much less if DIY. The XK is one of the more reliable Jaguars. Not as famous for all the issues that come with other Jaguars. In this sub theres plenty of people who regularly trot out the old reliable, jaguars are a nightmare to maintain, line, without every owning one, or even researching. Jaguar & Aston Martin sure do know how to create some of the most FUN ways to reach 0-60. With this around 60k and the Aston Martin V8 Vantage Gt for around 100k the brits seem to be getting aggressive in their pricing.
