Seriously, learn about your hair, don't just slap on random products just because they say "curly", know what you're putting in your hair the same way you pay attention to what you eat. Getting a keratin treatment when it sounds like you haven't even figured out how to make your hair healthy now will just cause more damage in the long run.

Try using triple detox by living proof. It should help your hair with the greasy feeling. Make sure you use a good conditioner because your hair will feel like straw at first after you wash out the shampoo. I use pureology hydrate conditioner in the purple bottle. I alternate the detox shampoo every other wash.
Dry shampoo to stretch washes (batiste original is good) No heat, air dry hair, try to avoid the heat straightener. If you have to use it apply heat protectant. Try not to turn the water up super hot when showering. No brushing when wet, try to use a wide toothed brush. Brush from the ends up to your scalp in sections.
Salt spray does dehydrate hair to enhance the curls, so make sure you’re using moisture and protein treatments, not just Olaplex. Avoid moisture treatments with a lot of heavy oils or butters, especially in the top 5 ingredients. They’ll weigh your hair down and block hydration from getting inside the hair.
Many might think of the labels "keratin treatment" and "Brazilian blowout" as interchangeable, but this is actually not the case. While each treatment is a non-permanent, protein adding smoothing process that leaves you with less frizzy, shinier, and more manageable hair for about 12 weeks (via The Upper Hand), there are distinct differences between keratin treatments and Brazilian blowouts
nievey • 5 yr. ago. you can’t fix damaged hair. but you can prevent it from happening. i suggest expanding from shampoo and conditioner and finding a good oil that suits you. you can do hot oil treatments and leave in oil. examples being coconut oil (slather hair in it and leave it over night or a couple of hours and wash out) or, argan
Damaging, makes your hair flat and drab, and it looks really weird growing out. Keratin may work for you. Some of my keratin treatments worked pretty well for managing my frizz. I didn’t get the treatment done in Japan, though, so i honestly don’t how well it’ll handle the extreme humidity here.
