The 22mag is a hunting round. The American is good hunting rifle, although it can do a lot more. Something people dont like to admit, or I should say my experience, I can shoot a 1" 5 shot group at 100 yards with 22mag much easier than I can do that with a higher grade 22LR setup. Actually the 452/453 .17hmr/ /.22wmr magazines DO NOT work in the 455/457. The .22lr/.17m2's do as you pointed out. I believe the Lithgow LA101 and the Steyer Zephyr both use the CZ455/457 magazines, too. Grab-A-Gun is one of the few places that have the 5 rd. poly magazines in stock at this moment.
